Outdoor cooking- healthy food

Earth Steward

For thousands of years, people understood that living in nature also meant caring for it.

Rather than simply taking from the land, many indigenous cultures saw themselves as its custodians; observing, understanding and working with natural systems.

This course combines that philosophy with over twenty years of professional experience in landscaping and arborism.

Together we’ll explore:

  • When, where and how to prune trees
  • Looking after waterways and sensitive habitats
  • Principles of permaculture
  • Practical woodland management
  • Tree planting and habitat restoration

You’ll gain practical skills that help you improve landscapes, while supporting biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for anyone who wants to:

  • Cook confidently over an open fire
  • Learn practical bushcraft skills
  • Understand how to care for woodland and natural habitats
  • Explore permaculture and ecological thinking
  • Spend a weekend outdoors with like-minded people

No previous experience is required.
