Bushcraft
Bushcraft is the art to live off the land sustainably.
Thanks to his knowledge the bushcrafter is able to travel with an ever lighter backpack. Skills replace expensive equipment, materials come from the immediate surrounding and working with them becomes an intimate communication with mother earth.
This course is a hands on experience. You will learn techniques that our ancestors used for thousands of years and a lot of them are fairly simple if you know how to apply them, but still make the life out there so much more easy.
No matter if you use this knowledge just for your next camping trip or are heading for a deep immersion, you will acquire a skillset, that enables you to make your stay in nature more comfortable and to thrive instead of just survive.
For this purpose we practice the art of stone-and wood- working along with Campcraft, Basketry and much more.
Some of the skills to be acquired in this course:
- Stone knive
- Stone axe/ adz
- Primitive hunting weapons (Slingstick, Atlatl)
- Pack Frame
- Net knitting/ Hammok
- Coiled Basket
- Campcraft/ Firecraft
- Traps
You will return from this course with a whole set of primitive tools and/ or the ability to build them yourself from scratch wherever you go.
